With black being in all the collections for fall '08, I am delighted to see designers throw in a little twist with the colored tights. Having recently moved to England from America, I've realized there's no such thing as "four seasons", well maybe, if you count: rain, wind, fog and a quick peek from Mr. Sun, as four seasons. It's such a relief to throw on a cute pair of leggings, not only to add that splash of fun color but to also keep me warm! Who says looking good should be painful?
Victor & Rolf stick to deep and dark hues.
I've always loved black and red together but, it seems so obvious and a little young. Seeing the combination on the runways really revives the look.
Zac Posen, I think, did it best. He's managed to use playful colors like orange and yellow and made them look so sophisticated, brilliant! I can envision a plethora of different ways to wear these tights, day to night...absolutely amazing!
The best tights I've found so far are on Tights Please. They've got a variety of styles, colors and most importantly deniers (I prefer 40+) in very reasonable prices. However, they're usually low on stock which results in a long wait. Ah, well, you can't win 'em all.

Betsy Johnson, I love her fun, eclectic and somewhat kitsch style. However, I always feel like she puts just a little too much of herself into her collection, so you end up feeling like you borrowed something out of her wardrobe, I like to feel like I have my own style, within a style. Still, I like her funky combinations and the ankle socks with tights. Very cute.

Ohmygod. I totally love Betsey Johnson, moreso because she's not in the mainstream!
