I have always been a girly-girl at heart, even in my super gawky pre-teen days, I was still in love with styles- geek chic, teen queen, even looking the part of a tomboy, if not being one completely. Oh! Those days, when people were compelled to look askance at me while trying to to ask my mother in a most sensitive way if I was her lovely daughter...or son?!
More on that later. Way later. Many many posts later, perhaps.
Needless to say, I spent the larger part of my prepubescent days clad in outfits which screamed an allegiance to the grunge way of life- you know, torn jeans, plaid, plaid, more plaid and combat boots. The Sneaker Pimp's "Kiro TV" is still somewhat of an anthem to me, brings back memories of the good old days...
Now, that I've grown up [a little], I've got myself pegged- if not in terms of what style I have, I definitely know what I'll be drawn towards and it's always, always, always girly. Frills, ruffles, flower prints, dresses, skirts, cutesy t's and blouses galore!
On a random trip to Primark- probably one of the best things about living in England, I found the cutest little cream dress, well my better half found it- but I picked it up! It had been hanging in my closet for sometime and I finally decided to wear it, when last week we celebrated [there might be some big changes in our lives this fall], by going to lunch, I finally wore it. As we were driving home, we also, happened to see a deer just standing alone in a meadow- the English countryside- it's not so bad, providing you love nature. Anyways, we came home and I decided to take some pictures in our back garden [that's a backyard in American]...since, it is our frst home...and I'd like to have some memories of it when we move [ahem fall ahem].
I kept the accesories fairly simple, just a few choice pieces of my diamond/silver collection.

I love the detail on the sleeves and neck of the dress, maybe I'll try wearing it with a skirt to see how it looks. It wasoff-putting how quicklythe dress became wrinkled and how it sort of clung in the WRONG places, my fault for not wearing a chemise. Argh.

The deer!! This was about 2 minutes from my house.
Hope everyone [UK and US alike] have had a great long weekend.
