I've had this one dress/top in my wardrobe for quite a while, but I just never got around to wearing it- simply because I never knew what to pair it with [way too short to be worn alone] and also the sleeves are an awkward 80s style, but from the moment I saw it, I thought the embroidery made it ultra cute. It doesn't hurt that it's a swap from my sister, who only managed to wear it once... on a shopping excursion Blue Water Mall in Kent...by far, the best mall I've visited in England so far- atleast better than Metro Center in New Castle. I didn't really find anything I liked, especially because I am trying to be very good [in order to shop till I drop in the summer]. However, I did find a cute extra large clutch at Urban Outfitters- Yay! They have Urban Outfitters in England...although, the whole "quaint" air fades away because, well, England is full of quaint little shops- especially of the Vintage variety- Toast!
Here's the outfit- not very exciting: but I feel I've been in a rut, clothes-wise, for a while.
I think I just need to decide what kind of look I'm really trying to achieve, I've never been able to pigeon-hole my style into one genre: punk, indie, chic, preppie- I just don't know where I would fit in.
I definitely wouldn't want to be trendy, but I do tend to gather a lot of inspiration from the runways. I guess I just need to figure things out and carve a niche for myself- for the time being, I'll just say my style is "girly" and "pretty"...
Then again, maybe not having a signature style is a signature in itself. Hmm...maybe, I'm uh, versatile! Yeah, that's it. "I'm a million different things, from one day to the next."
Brownie points if you can guess where that line is from.
