I instantly fell in like with the ZARA handmade wool waist coat, but like Cinderella after the ball, it kept eluding me. I am a very impatient person and I need instant gratification - that's why the period between my engagement and wedding was roughly 3 months! But after looking at similar styles and with my general mistrust of online re-sellers, I decided to add myself to the wait-list and resigned myself to pleasure delay.
With Chicago winters, I figured my chance to wear it would never come but, somehow the stars aligned themselves and I got the waist-coat in mid-December...and the temperatures stayed mild (a gorgeous 51 degrees!) so I got to wear it on a shopping excursion in the city.
I am a HUGE fan of comfort over style, and I am BIG on bundling up...so I layered, threw on my leather gloves, and put on my beanie - most of your body heat is lost through your head so I always try and keep my noggin snug and warm.
We've had a few cold days - arctic wind chill since the beginning of January but it's been a relatively nice winter for the most part. I know I talk about weather a lot but I am OBSESSED with temperatures. Maybe I missed my calling as a meteorologist.
Love your outfit!!
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit!!
ReplyDeleteI am also OBSESSED with weather. I am at my happiest when it's warm, I never complain then, LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou look pretty darn fabulous! I look nothing like this when I chose comfort over fashion (I look terrible, haha).
