The English countryside and I have always had a tumultuous relationship. I love the peace, the timelessness, the sheer beauty but I find solitude suffocating. I visited Sutton Park, 20 minutes from York and the stillness of the land comforted me.
Unfortunately I couldn't do much exploring because I wore this very urban, modern outfit and I do not recommend anything but Wellies if like me, you decide to venture off the cobblestones and onto the crunch leaves. There will be mud.
Midi skirts have always been awkward for me because I am not tall, and so I wore my surprisingly comfortable heels to add a touch of color, which often softens the look. I also ventured out of my comfort zone with these long earrings. I don't know. I feel like I'm always doing the most with king, dangly earrings.
